My interest in photography began during my first trip to Yellowstone National Park when I was 16 years old and continued to grow and evolve over the following years. Over that time I came to focus on three main genres that I continue to thoroughly enjoy: macrophotography, landscape photography and wildlife photography.

Photography to me is more than the making of a photograph. It is the means I use to go out and enjoy appreciate the incredible wonders that this world has to offer, whether it’s a dew covered monarch butterfly at my favorite macro location or watching flow into the Pacific Ocean. It all works for me!

It is often said that the first 10,000 photos a photographer makes are their worst ones which was probably true (and at times still is…). I hope that my photography overall has improved since then!
